Oriental Beauty is a special, reserve grade of Bai Hao Oolong tea with a pronounced fruit aspect. Queen Elizabeth II declared this tea an "Oriental Beauty" as she sipped it for the first time. The name has been associated with Bai Hao Oolong ever since- and with good reason. The flavor notes and leaf color of this batch are mesmerizing. This tea has the complexities of an Oolong in taste and aroma but the appearance and strength of a black tea. Originally grow to compete with the popular Darjeeling teas from India, Oriental Beauty was promoted heavily in Europe and the US before World War II.
