Gui Fei Oolong tea is from Lugu, Nantou, Taiwan. It has another name Honey Oolong. Gui Fei Oolong Tea is the newness style of Oolong tea. It is developed after the 921 earthquake that occurred in central Taiwan on September 21st, 1999. Following the devastating earthquake in this area, many tea farmers were unable to give their tea farm fertilizer or pesticide because they were too busy rebuilding in order to harvest the summer batch. Because of the lack of pesticide, these tea leaves attract the "Jacobiasca Formosana Paoli" commonly known as the "tea green leaf-hopper". After these bugs bit the tea leaves, the tea leaves would produce a honey like taste characteristic when they are being processed. The shape of Gui Fei Oolong is tightly rolled which has honey sweet flavor, complexity and depth, just likes Oriental Beauty Oolong.
